Elgiz Müzesi,
İstanbul’daki tek değişen açık hava sergi alanı ile alternatif bir sanat durağı
sunuyor.
Maslak’ta gökdelenlerin gölgesinde akıllarda kalıcı bir görsellik sergileyen ve müzenin üzerinde yer alan
1500 metrekarelik açık hava sergi mekanında Teras Sergileri serisine devam ediyor.
Belli bir fikir veya tema çerçevesinde oluşturulmayan bağımsız serilerde
sanatçıların yaş aralığı referans alınıyor.

başlatılan ve 40 yaş altı heykeltıraşların yapıtlarını içeren Teras
Sergileri’nin
bu sene üçüncüsü gerçekleştiriliyor. 2013 senesinde 40 yaş altı heykeltıraşların
müracaatlarını değerlendiren
Seyhun Topuz, Rahmi Aksungur, Nilüfer Ergin, Haşim Nur Gürel ve Can Elgiz’den
oluşan Danışma Kurulu’na Avustralyalı heykeltıraş Andrew Rogers’ın
misafir üye olarak katılımıyla sergi uluslararası bir boyuta taşınmıştı.

As Istanbul’s only
changing open air exhibition space,
the Elgiz Museum offers an alternative for contemporary art.
Amid the shadows of the skyscrapers in the business district of Maslak,
the museum continues its Terrace Exhibitions series in its 1500 m2 open air rooftop exhibition space.
Works are curated with reference to the artists’ age, not a specific theme or concept.

Having commenced in
2012, the third of the Terrace Exhibitions series is taking place this year
and shows the works of sculptors under the age of 40. Artists’ applications are evaluated
by an Advisory Committee consisting of
Seyhun Topuz, Rahmi Aksungur, Nilüfer Ergin, Haşim Nur Gürel and Can Elgiz.
In 2013, Australian sculptor Andrew Rogers contributed as guest committee member,
raising the series to an international level.
And this year, two artists have been invited to exhibit their works
at the ‘La Balade de Séprais’ in the Jura region of Switzerland.
